ALPSP Learned Journals Collection

COPPUL has sent out an invitation to members to participate in an offer from Swets for the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) Learned Journals Collection (ALJC).

The ALJC is a package of e-journals that offers content from 53 publishers. There will be a total of 728 titles in the full 2008 collection. In addition, there are nine subject-specific sub-collections available:

Archaeology & History
Law
Life Sciences
Linguistics & Arts
Medicine
Religion & Philosophy
Science
Social Sciences
Technology

The ALJC offers an umbrella license with a straightforward pricing model. End-users are given access to the ALJC through SwetsWise Online Content, Swets' e-journal gateway.

The pricing model of the ALJC is composed of two (2) elements:

1. E-content fee: calculated based on the value of the institution's existing holdings maintained in the two (2) years prior to the ALJC license.
2. E-Access fee: calculated as a percentage of the list price included in a given package.

RESPONSE DEADLINE: October 15, 2007.
